This FAQ communicates all available features of Koneksa Compare platform. Availability of features is moderated by study and differs by user type.

You will be invited to join a study by a Koneksa Health representative or study administrator. Once invited to the study, you will receive an email with a sign up link.

  • Open the Signup Invitation email you received from Koneksa Compare.
  • Click on the "Sign me up" button.
  • Enter all required information, accept the Privacy Policy and Term of Use, and click "Sign up."
  • You are now signed up to Koneksa Compare and can log in to view your study.
  • Go to https://compare.koneksahealth.com and log in with your email and password.


Note - based on the study entitlements, the measurements displayed on the participants dashboard will vary.

Participants dashboard displays all participants enrolled in the study, questionnaires due for completion this week, overall device compliance, and the last captured values for endpoints.

  • Click on the menu icon on top navigation menu. Click on the "Participants" tab on the expanded left navigation menu. A participants dashboard will be displayed.
  • The data displayed in the endpoint cells for each subject row of the dashboard is always the latest data received for this subject.
  • If no data has never been received for that endpoint, a "No data" is displayed.
  • To display a more detailed view of each measurement, click on any of the endpoints and a detail view will slide open below the participant row.


The problem with receiving data from devices can be communicated with the following notifications displayed on the Participants dashboard. The latest data received per endpoint is always displayed in the dashboard.

"No device" notification

  • Click on the "No device" tab of the participant you want to connect a device for.
  • If the device has not been connected, the measurement row is colored pink, the status values is displayed as "X" and a "Connect a device" button or an entry field plus "Save" button will be displayed.

"No data" notification

"No data" as an endpoint value.

  • If no data has never been received, "No data" will be displayed as an endpoint value.
  • "No data" is displayed right after a device connection is established until any data has been received from a device.

Yellow circle notification

Yellow circle notification next to a number in "Questionnaires due this week" cell.

  • If a questionnaire is due for completion by a subject in the next 2 days, a yellow circle notification is displayed.

Red circle notification

Red circle notification next to an endpoint value.

  • Every endpoint has a Data Ingest Window applied to it. The Data Ingest Window defines the range of days the data is expected to be received per endpoint.
  • If the data has not been received in the Data Ingest Window, a red circle notification is displayed next to the latest received endpoint value.

Click on the menu icon on top navigation menu. Click on the "Participants" tab on the expanded left navigation menu. A Participants dashboard will be displayed. Click on the "Add participant" button on the top navigation menu. A participant adding flow will be displayed.

Sign up participant

  • Fill in the fields for participant details. The details required may vary based on the program entitlements.
  • Choose the subject's time zone.
  • Choose the subject's preferred language. All available languages are defined by the study configuration and the subject's native language may not be available.
  • Click "I accept the privacy policy and terms of use."
  • Click "Save."
  • A subject account is created and depending on the study configurations the subject may or may not now log in to their Koneksa Compare account.


If no device has been connected for an endpoint, a "No device" colored background notification is displayed in the endpoint cell. The coordinator is required to connect a device to their Koneksa Compare account if any devices are used for data monitoring.

  • Navigate to the participants dashboard.
    • Click on the "No device" tab on the subject's row you want to connect a device for.
    • The "Accounts & devices" view is displayed.
    • If the device has not been connected, the measurement row is colored pink, the status values is displayed as "X" and a "Connect a device" button or an entry field plus "Save" button is displayed.
    • Connecting via Koneksa Connect (Garmin devices only)

    • If the device requires a connection via Koneksa Compare, a "Connect a device" button is displayed. Click "Connect a device."
    • A new window with Garmin logo is displayed. Click on the "Connect" button.
    • Enter subject's details to create a subject's Garmin account. The email field is prefilled. The email can be edited.
    • Click "Create."
    • If the device connection was successful, a green "Checkmark" icon will be displayed in the Device Status field.
    • Connecting via device ID

    • If the device requires a manually entered device ID, an unfilled entry field with a "Save" button is displayed.
    • To connect a device, enter the device ID and click "Save." The device ID locations may vary depending on the device used. Refert to the Coordinator Guide or Tutorial Videos for guidance how to locate a specific device ID.
    • If the device connection was successful, a green "Checkmark" icon will be displayed in the Device Status field.


    Questionnaires on participants dashboard

    Questionnaires are displayed under the "Questionnaires (due this week)" column in the participants dashboard.

    • The number displayed on the "Questionnaires (due this week)" tab displayed the number of questionnaires the participant has completed this week/the number of questionnaires due this week.

    Click on the "Questionnaires (due this week)" tab to view more detail.

    • "Due this week" toggle button displays a list of all questionnaires due for completion this calendar week.
    • Available to launch" toggle button displays all manual questionnaires available to be launched.
    • "Issued to date" toggle button displays all questionnaires issued to date.


    Scheduled questionnaires enable you to automatically send out questionnaires to your study participants by a set time frame. The frequency of a scheduled questionnaire can be on a one time, daily, weekly, monthly, or quarterly basis.

    • Daily questionnaires will be sent out to participants every day and are available to be completed for the same day.
    • Weekly questionnaires will be sent out to participants with a +/- 1 day window period for completion.
    • Monthly questionnaires will be sent out every 28 days with a +/- 3 day window period for completion.
    • Quarterly questionnaires will be sent out every 91 days and participants will have a +/- 5 day period to complete them.

    Scheduled questionnaires are pre-configured by the Koneksa Health team.



    Manually launched questionnaires enable study coordinators to time the launch of a questionnaire by manually releasing the questionnaire to subject.

    • Navigate to participants dashboard.
    • Click on the subject's "Questionnaires due this week" cell.
    • A "Due this week" view is displayed.
    • Select "Available to launch" from the navigation tabs.
    • A list of questionnaire available to launch is displayed.
    • Click on the "Launch" button.
    • A questionnaire is now available for completion for the subject.
