Keith M. Gottesdiener

MD

Dr. Gottesdiener has been the Chief Executive Officer and member of the board of directors of Rhythm Therapeutics since October 2011. He joined Rhythm after 16 years at Merck Research Laboratories. Dr. Gottesdiener joined Merck early clinical development in 1995, helping to transition compounds from the bench to the bedside and through to proof of concept. He held positions of increasing responsibility, eventually leading Merck’s early clinical development across all therapeutic areas from 2001 through early 2006. From 2006-2011, he was a leader of Merck’s late clinical development organization, first overseeing the development of Merck’s infectious diseases and vaccine products through pivotal trials, registration, and life cycle management, including Gardasil™ (HPV Vaccine), Rotateq™ (rotavirus vaccine), Zostavax™ (zoster vaccine) and Isentress™ (HIV integrase inhibitor), among others. In 2008, Dr. Gottesdiener was appointed Late Stage Therapeutic Group Leader, and in that role led Merck’s late-stage clinical development efforts (from Phase 2 thru patent expiry) across all therapeutic areas. After Merck’s merger with Schering Plough in 2009, he continued as co-head of late development. Dr. Gottesdiener serves on the board of Intercept. He received his B.A. from Harvard College and his M.D. from the University of Pennsylvania. He completed his residency and fellowship at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital-Beth Israel Medical Center-Dana Farber Cancer Institute Children’s Hospital programs. After his fellowship, Dr. Gottesdiener did postdoctoral research in the laboratory of Dr. Jack Strominger at Dana Farber Cancer Institute working on the molecular immunology of the T-cell receptor. In 1986, he joined the faculty as an assistant professor at Columbia University, started an independent research laboratory with NIH RO-1 funding, focusing on gene transcription, and was Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine at the time he left to join Merck in 1995.

Developed a QA group of trusted and experienced colleagues who are positioned globally to leverage their broad range of experience to reduce risk in clinical trials. Acted as Quality Head for a Biotech Company in 2011. Have been successful in embedding Quality in Clinical Operations for several pharmaceutical companies.

Sachin H. Jain

MD

Sachin H. Jain, MD, MBA is chief executive officer (CEO) at CareMore Health System, an innovative health plan & care delivery system with $1.2B revenue & over 100,000 members in 8 states. He is also consulting professor of medicine at the Stanford University School of Medicine and a contributor at Forbes. Dr. Jain was previously CareMore's chief medical officer (CMO) and chief operating officer (COO).

Prior to joining CareMore, Dr. Jain was Chief Medical Information & Innovation Officer at Merck & Co. He also served as an attending physician at the Boston VA-Boston Medical Center and a member of faculties at Harvard Medical School and Harvard Business School. From 2009-2011, Dr. Jain worked in the Obama Administration, where he was senior advisor to Donald Berwick when he led the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). Dr. Jain was the first deputy director for policy and programs at the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation (CMMI). He also served as special assistant to David Blumenthal when he was the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology.

Dr. Jain graduated magna cum laude from Harvard College with a BA in government and continued on to earn his MD from Harvard Medical School and MBA from Harvard Business School. He trained in medicine at the Brigham and Women's Medicine, earned his board certification, and continues to practice medicine at CareMore. He is co-founder and co-editor-in-chief of the Elsevier journal Healthcare: The Journal of Delivery Science & Innovation and is an elected member of the National Academy of Social Insurance (NASI). He has published over 100 peer-reviwed articles andin journals such as the New England Journal, JAMA, Health Affairs, and was an editor of the book, The Soul of a Doctor (Algonquin Press).

Dr. Jain is a native of Bergen County, New Jersey, but presently resides in Los Angeles, California

Bernard M. Rosof

MD MACP

Dr. Rosof is CEO of Quality in Healthcare Advisory Group (QHC) that provides strategic consultative services to the community of health care providers interested in improving the quality and safety of health care in our country. Following completion of a fellowship in gastroenterology at Yale University School of Medicine, he practiced Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology for 29 years. He is the immediate past Chair of the Board of Directors of Huntington Hospital (Northwell Health) and a current member of the Board of Trustees of that Health System. He is a past member of the Board of Directors of the National Quality Forum, and served as Co- Chair of the National Priorities Partnership. Dr. Rosof is the immediate past Chair of the Physician Consortium for Performance Improvement. He was a member of the Clinical Performance Measurement Committee of the NCQA, and the Chair of the Physician Advisory Committee for United Health Group. He has chaired committees for the New York State Department of Health and the Institute of Medicine (IOM), and is currently serving as Chair of the IOM Roundtable on Health Literacy and as Chair of the NYS Department of Health Committee on Quality in Office Based Surgery.

Dr. Rosof is on the editorial board of the American Journal of Medical Quality and The Journal of Delivery Science and Innovation. Dr. Rosof is Professor in the Department of Medicine at the Hofstra Northwell School of Medicine. He is a Master of the American College of Physicians and Chair Emeritus of the Board of Regents of the American College of Physicians. Dr. Rosof is the recipient of the Laureate Award from the American College of Physicians and the Theodore Roosevelt Award for Distinguished Community Service. He has also received the 2011 Founders Award presented by the American College of Medical Quality in recognition of his long-standing national leadership and exceptional ability to foster and support healthcare quality improvement. Dr. Rosof is also the recipient of the 2012 Stengel Award from the American College of Physicians for outstanding service to the ACP and for his influence in maintaining and advancing the best standards of medical education, medical practice and clinical research. Dr Rosof also received the New York University School of Medicine Alumni Leadership Award In February 2016.
