High-Resolution Measurement in Cardiovascular Research
Cardiovascular disease remains a leading cause of death worldwide. Yet many trial endpoints still rely on episodic clinic assessments. As a result, they miss how treatment actually affects patients in daily life.
Koneksa’s cardiovascular measurement models close that gap. They integrate digital physiology, functional capacity, patient-reported data, and biomarkers, and then translate continuous signal into clinically interpretable, trial-ready endpoints across both clinic and real-world settings.
Why Real-World Function Matters in Cardiac Trials
Cardiac endpoints have a translation problem. For example, a 6MWT or CPET tells you what a patient can do in a supervised test. However, it says little about what they actually do at home over months of treatment. Continuous capture closes that distance. Gait speed, activity patterns, heart rate dynamics, and ambulatory physiology show function as patients live it, and concept equivalence modeling keeps those real-world signals interpretable against their clinic-based counterparts. Meanwhile, integrating biomarkers like NT-proBNP and imaging-derived progression markers anchors the functional picture to disease biology. This matters most where cardiovascular and metabolic disease interact. In heart failure, CKD, diabetes, and obesity, progression unfolds across systems, so measurement has to follow it there. Structured architecture keeps that multimodal data consistent and comparable from protocol initiation through database lock.
